Principal Graphic Designer

Hello. I am a professional graphic designer seeking either contract or full-time work.

My past responsibilities include brand communication, design fulfillment and management. Projects I have worked on include retail environments, company branding, trade shows, packaging, point-of-purchase displays, catalogs, and collateral. One of my project highlights, was working as the project designer for Barbie’s first flagship store in Shanghai, China.

- Freelance Designer for a number of clients. Example of Type of clients: High School, Business start-ups, Design Studio. Example of work done: catalogs, websites, brochures, conference booklet, packaging.

- Temporary contract work brought in for another staff member's medical leave. I supported the department with any miscellaneous projects that needed to be completed due to projects falling behind because of short handed staff.

Senior Graphic Designer

- Print and web support for high-end furniture and bedding company. Design brochures and signage to promote new products. Create signage for annual tradeshow in Las Vegas and Atlanta. A variety of print ads are currently being shown in national furniture and trade magazines such as Elle Decor, House Beautiful and Furniture today. Also produced designs for print and digital marketing.

Graphic Marketing Designer

- Design in-store marketing materials to create awareness for upcoming movies, TV shows and in-store events. Utilize key art and branding guidelines in order to create mechanicals for production. Completed assets were distributed to over 200 stores nationwide.
- Types of marketing materials include in-store signage on a small and large scale flyers, discount cards and web advertising.

In-store Signage Designer

- Research and contribute unique content with descriptions for launch of new website.
- Create collections for Public Relations & Marketing Team as needed for breaking news, current trends, live events and holidays.
- Foster a community within LoveIt platform interacting with new users and influencers.

Community Specialist

- Responsible for finding solutions to a wide range of web design challenges. They include the creation and modification of assets for product development, layout designs, marketing production, ad development, print material, content creation, and assisting work overflow.
- Social media marketing support included Facebook and website updates. Liaison for company and vendor for flash and static ads to be implemented across all advertising platforms.
- Supervised annual design interns during the summer. Day-to-day, mentored each intern while still focusing on own projects.

Web Designer

- Lead designer based in Mattel headquarters for first Barbie worldwide flagship store in Shanghai, China.
- Design fulfillment and project management for a wide range of projects for retail environment. They include marketing collateral, in-store graphics, signage, merchandise and preparing presentations. Delivered turnkey mechanicals for international vendors.
- Performed the following roles in a deadline driven environment. Art director, acting project manager, production designer, consultant, as well as oversee work output of associate production designers.

Project Graphic Designer

- Maintain web content modules and create new digital assets daily for Yahoo! Kids, Tech, Green, Shine (Women’s site), and Food websites.
- Work with corporate clients to create online advertisement worlds and takeovers to promote their brands across various Yahoo! sites. Clients include Warner Brothers, Kidz Bop and Dodge. 
- Independently created new design style guide for Yahoo! Kids site. Refreshing the site attributed to the continued increase of unique users returning to the product. 
- Responsible for training staff on various site maintenance tasks.

Visual Designer/Production

- Customers include Luxe Hotel Sunset Boulevard, Costume Designers Guild, 51 Minds, Clay Lacy Aviation, and American Institute of Architects. 
- Liaison for design development, marketing, advertising, and production including trade show coordination. 
- Collaborated with designers on numerous projects including branding, retail catalogs, invitations (print and web), packaging, city signage, point-of-purchase design and apparel graphics.
