Lily is an experienced CAD modeler specializing in taking dimensional data into 3D. She has made 3D files based on patent drawings for surgical, plumbing and automotive.
She is an educator working with design teams to add 3D creation as part of their in-house design process to facilitate a better transition from concept to end-product. She has worked on products for Disney, Stratasys, MCor, Nickelodeon and Sears.

3D modeling and product design to help develop inventions from lock mechanisms, to live hinges, all with attention to aesthetics and ergonomics for products that are well-conceived and well-thought out.

3D Modeling for Prototyping and Manufacturing for Inventors

• Producing a panel of hooks for tightening the wrinkles of mattress fabric

• Creating a fitted medical eye patch based off of 3D scans of faces. Shaping eye patch based on specific sketches and measurements. Preparing file for rapid prototyping. 

• Modeling a 6 x 8  prototype for a shopping basket. Prepared file for 3d print.

• Smoothing over the surface of an existing 3D model of a hair clip. 

• Optimizing lock mechanism and ergonomics of a zip lock container. 

• Reverse engineering a steering automotive component for CNC aluminum milling.
