Broadly skilled Designer with over 6 years of industry based experienced along with 2 years experience teaching Design. I have provided design solutions across markets such as domestic lighting, home build and sports turfcare just to name a few. I am looking to bring my product, branding, graphic design, layout skills and limitless imagination to your company in a move that will see me starting a new, life-long chapter in my life.

A bit more about me as a person might be that I am bilingual, speaking both English and Portuguese. I don’t want any job, I want THE job! I’m hungry for the challenge and am willing to go the extra mile to prove that hiring me is the best decision you’ve ever made.

As the principle designer, I control all aesthetic aspects of low energy LED lighting. I handle all computer aided design operations as well as produce specifications. I work alongside the quality control team to keep track of each product line and ensure they have been manufactured to our standards. I create product animations using 3D Studio Max & V-Ray, showcasing features unique to our products. I edit these animation using Adobe Premier Pro. This means working within various groups, such as graphics, branding and sales, to ensure their standards, targets and initiatives are met within my body of work. We are a team.

My role as cover teacher was to fulfil the duties of a teacher. To teach clearly structured lessons that interested and motivated children. I ensured learning objectives were clearly shared with pupils using my own teaching and learning strategies. I created challenging learning objectives within Technology for groups of children and individuals. I marked and assessed pupils' work using the school's monitoring and assessment policies. I was responsible for the safeguarding and well-being of children.

Product Design Teacher

Working alongside external copywriters, my role was to devise an overall creative concept for magazine adverts, customer brochures, in-house emails and marketing campaigns. I would create draft textual content which would be refined by a copywriter then, whilst being solely be responsible for the visual content of all branding and marketing related aspects, I would always collaborate with my colleges to ensure a much more well rounded final concept. Uniform branding, web site visuals, adverts, vehicle livery branding were just some of the tasks I delivered during my time as an Art Director. This role included public relations along with organising events such as company days and sponsorships.

In a 3 month contract, my focus at Blec was to over­see the new product development for a turf care machine to be used at Arsenal Football Club. With sheet metal it was my responsibility to dictate the processes needed to manufacture these large scale machines. Products included the Blecavator (http://www.blec.co.uk/products/blecavator-mid-range-stoneburiers), a tractor-mounted cultivator for preparing seedbeds and the Blec Shakervator (http://www.blec.co.uk/general-news/saltex-2011) which was launched at Saltex 2011. CAD and technical drawings were made in Solidworks to communicate to our welding team. With an in-house manufacturing team, I was able to gain first hand experience in processes such as ‘Stamping’, ‘Cutting’ and ‘Bending’ sheet metal. Physically learning these were invaluable.

As a Technology Teacher I took a leading role within key stages 3, 4 and 5 (Ages 11-18). I created lesson plans and it was my responsibility to evaluate the effectiveness of my own methods, to monitor the progress of those I taught and to raise levels of attainment. I taught workshop classes to Key Stage 3 & 4 (ages 11-14), graphic design classes and 3D CAD classes to Key Stage 5 (ages 14-18). I was also ran my own form group experiencing a more one to one relationship with smaller groups.

As a graduate, I started here as a Junior Designer and quickly progressed up to 'Image Developer'. My role was to handle CAD and rendering projects producing highly accurate CAD models in Solidworks, along with photo-realistic renders in 3D Studio Max/Vray. As well as static renders I also took charge of product animations. This also involved writing and drawing up product instruction leaflets and creating animations showcasing how products were assembled. Such media was impactfully branded to ensure highly visible promotional material. I created and managed all product imagery which was kept and filled. My 3D models were utilised by manufacturing teams based in China which required an extremely high measure of accuracy in my 3D work. In absence of the directors I solely represented our UK branch.
