As the Store Manager for the Rip Curl Surf Center in Orlando, Florida, I was very successful at managing a profitable and respectable business. At Rip Curl Orlando I thoroughly enjoyed recruiting, training, and mentoring an engaged sales staff. I loved the business to business responsibilities. I used my education in marketing to create several fun local events that generated incremental foot traffic and sales to the store.
I have moved from Florida to Colorado and now to San Diego where I have lived for the last 3 years. I have been working for Hyatt Hotels in Guest Services for about 2 years now. I was recently promoted to be my departments Ambassador and Trainer. I have since completely redesigned our entire Host Department Training Program.
I have a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Central Florida. My major field of study was Marketing and Business Management. I received exemplary marks in the following courses: Management of Organizations, Sales Force Management, Professional Selling, Marketing Management, and Marketing Research and Analysis.
I use some of my free time to volunteer with the Surfrider Foundation here in San Diego. I do most of my work with the Events and Fundraising Committee. I have helped to organize, promote, and service Surfrider San Diego's Art Gala 2 out of the last 3 years. The Art Gala is the County Chapter's largest fundraiser of the year.
