Matt Long has years of experience working with teams, customers, technology and managing clients. Bringing a strong record of doing the things he says he will, Matt has consistently earned more responsibility in every role he has held. Beginning as a Junior Production Manager for a start-up web design company, he quickly showed his value and was promoted to a Senior Production Manager role. Working with tight deadlines and strict guidelines, his team consistently completed 150 orders a week. Bringing his passions for the sporting and fitness industries to his professional career, he began working at Bentgate Mountaineering, managing their website content to ensure accuracy, inventory and positioning the site to increase sales volume. Through those efforts, he was put in charge of a complete website overhaul working with a third party vendor for development. Through that exercise, Matt successfully managed the design, build-out, testing and deployment of the new site with little supervision. This included ensuring a positive user experience, managing search engine optimization, testing for defects, having found over 1000 during the build-out and deploying the site without disruption to sales. Matt brings experience coordinating the contracted work with the site owner's expectations, as well as the use of the site by customers. His experience with websites includes security, search, views, taxonomy, sort order, filters and checkout. His continuing responsibilities include SKU level price variance, stock status, pre-order, back-order and drop-ship in addition to managing the quality, performance and targeting of the website itself. With a personal interest in triathlons, cycling, marathons, soccer, skiing and other activities, he knows how to set a goal and achieve it. Matt is looking to bring his experience to other opportunities while continuing to grow his knowledge base.
