My name is Scott Godwin and I currently reside in Bentonville, AR, where I have been calling on Walmart in various roles since graduating college, nearly 9 years now. I came up through the broker side of the business and from there strategically made moves to get to where I am today, a well rounded account manager with a business acumen that spans the entire both which uniquely positions me in a position to provide a fresh perspective in almost every category but fundamentally still having an understanding of that particular business unit and it’s nuances. Most recently I transitioned to the wholesaler.side of the business in adult beverage or better said a more operations driven role, managing the spirits business nationally at Walmart for Republic National Distributing Company (+/- $140M P&L) directly managing 11 Chain Account Managers thst span 13 states.

In May, I decided to part ways with RNDC for multiple reasons but most importantly I had my dose of the distributor world and I felt Link it was time to transition back over to the supplier side in hopes of taking on a small team lead or director rolenow that I have served my time managing others, my own P&L, and budget.

It was “highly” recommended by a few of my mentors within the adult beverage business to see the business thru a different lens, from within a wholesaler, because regardless of adult beverage or not the operations arm in every business provides insights to sales that ultimately can be very good to have in the long run, so I made the jump from Pabst to RNDC - jump is putting it lightly. These two companies couldn’t land on further ends of the spectrum but change equals growth and that’s exactly what I got.

—> Primary contact for the Walmart Spirits business nationally
—> Managed two buyers at the Walmart home office, 11 chain account managers that crossed over 13 states.
—> Implemented a financial tool that allowed us to mix out entire portfolios rather than by item
—> Grew shipments at 28% and POS $ were + 34%

National Account Manager - Spirits Lead

• Manage 44% of total Walmart P&L – Walmart Central Division and Sam’s Club National
• Increased PODs modular over modular by 55% - Most notably expanded the Lone Star Brand Family by 490 PODs in TX.
• Achieved and maintained 60% growth trajectory 2015 and FYTD 2016
• Fostered and maintained relationships with key wholesalers throughout the region.
• Developed robust business plans with Top 25 wholesaler partners which delivered 70% improvement on execution
• Overdrove Walmart JBP by 20% FY15 while delivering category accretive maintain margin.
• Secured 4 consecutive quarters of Walmart Playbook features
• Manage 1 Key Account Manager on the Sam’s Club business – budgets, performance review, ABP.
• Developed and managed strategic incentives across all regions to effectively drive sales.

National Accounts Manager - Walmart & Sam’s Club

•	Manage $120M consisting of + 500 SKUS in store and online  (Walmart and Sam’s Club).
•	Facilitated, planned, and execute the 1st T2T meeting with senior leadership at Walmart. 
•	Increased revenue over $5M in Q1 in less than 6 months while also increasing internal margin
•	Introduced and executed the 1st out of department merchandising solution – Incremental $2.4M
•	Maintained ownership of the strategy, sell in, and execution of the largest holiday program ($30M TY vs. $23M LY)
•	Developed 1st half plans to overdrive OP plan by $7M at an accretive margin rate.
•	Implemented and executed sales plan at Sam’s Club, securing business for the first time in 3 years - $6M incremental.
•	Present monthly to the SBD President the status of the business and indentify P&L headwinds and tailwinds.
•	Routinely involved in new item implementation to ensure corporate goals and objectives are achieved.

•	Managed the East Coast BU and Texas BU at Walmart and Sam’s Club representing +/- $20M in annual sales
•	Built and manage business plans delivering +30% growth YOY.
•	Successfully developed, implemented, and execution the pilot launch of Mike’s 8oz program (99% execution in 2wks)
•	Developed and managed strategic incentives across all regions to effectively drive sales. 
•	Fostered and maintained relationships with indentified key wholesalers throughout the region. 
•	Managed planning and execution levels of 4 Divisional Directors and 25 Field Sales Managers at Walmart Inc. 
•	Secured the 1st Walmart Circular TAB in company history.
•	Successfully pitched and landed the first item selected as a VPI in company history
•	Drove conversational interactions to ensure seamless implementation and execution of initiatives with key wholesaler partners.

•	Managed and maintained the relationship between client and buyer to ensure operational excellence.
•	Delivered double digit sales growth 4 straight quarters while delivering accretive margin %. 
•	Built and managed a team of 23 sales reps covering the Central BU and East BU. 
•	Routinely developed and executed plans to drive incremental space at the market and store level. 
•	Led weekly state of the business calls with our client and Walmart to ensure alignment in operational objectives. 
•	Designed, fostered, and executed regional sales/merchandising program that became national successes.
•	Monthly engaged with Walmart Market Manager to ensure sales objectives were being achieved.

Client Manager

•	Managed and operated $2.8M P&L. 
•	Conceptualized and executed sales plan that delivered 75% incremental growth.
•	Routinely engaged in cold calling, doubling customer base in first year. 
•	Forecasted future sales by analyzing trends and measuring sales opportunities with existing customers
•	Established outstanding report with food brokers and food companies to leverage relationships to get best food cost available. 
•	Developed and executed pilot regional launch of Marketplace salad dressing in Walmart and Harps stores.
