I joined Kitty Hawk Kites as the marketing and events intern. This offered me the opportunity to show that hard work and a positive attitude will flourish. The accountability and responsibility that falls upon coordinating events is the perfect challenge for a summer internship. I hope to continue exploring this path as time progresses. The outdoors is where I call home and I'd love to turn that into opportunity. I am actively seeking positions within an outdoor recreation company, retail brand, adventure/outdoor media, or nonprofit agency. I have a passion for companies engaging in Social Innovation, Social Good, or Socially Conscious practices. As a heavily involved student on campus, I have worked in most departments. This includes: Campus Recreation: Outdoor Adventure Coordinator Marketing: Intern Student Life: Social Media Coordinator University Programming Board: Event Planning Resident Assistant: Advising, General Administrative work, Event Planning, and Advertising. Athletic Event Staff: Proficient with AV equipment . My biggest project yet, was rebuilding the collegiate chapter of American Marketing Association at St. Edward's University. The organization was merely a name, with less than five members and holding no meetings. Over the course of 2 years, the organization became and established presence on campus and is continuously growing. I worked diligently to set the foundation that the organization never previously had. I've currently stepped down from the position and am working as an adviser to the new president.
