Marketing Assistant

I have successfully worked in the marketing field for five years. Over the last five years I have gained experience with creating marketing plans, managing social media accounts, and creating promotional materials. Working in the tourism and sports industries, I have also gained valuable event experience. I have been involved with every aspect of events from planning and management to completion. I have experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, PC and Mac platforms, and Microsoft office applications. 

My goal is for my next position to be a step up from an assistants position. I feel that after five years of experience I am ready and able to hold a higher level position in an organization.

•	In charge of  content and execution of all social media accounts associated with the CVB including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube and Google+
 - Currently serve on a social media sub-committee to promote the National Folk Festival
•	Graphic Design of all materials in the marketing department. Materials include advertisements, annual visitors guide, bid book documents, weekly event emails, invitations and any other items that may need to be designed. 
•	Creation of press releases and advertorial content. 
•	Website management including updating photo galleries, updating listings and uploading new content. 
•	Project management. Work with vendors and sales representatives to ensure projects are completed correctly and in a timely manner. 
•	Create end-of-month reports to track all projects that have been completed.

•	In charge of all marketing and event management aspects for men’s soccer, women’s soccer, women’s basketball, wrestling and softball. This includes marketing the athletic teams/events to internal and external groups.  
o	Increased men’s soccer attendance by 32%
o	Increased women’s basketball attendance by 22% 
o	Increased women’s soccer attendance by 20%
•	Responsible for upkeep and improvement of the “UNCG Spartan Athletics” Facebook fan page, resulting in an increase in fan following. 
•	Responsible for planning and implementation of special events for the athletic department including an annual kick-off event, basketball preview and senior banquet. 
•	Responsible for writing all UNCG related radio spots for men’s basketball radio broadcasts, along with writing a bi-weekly 90-second “Spartan Spotlight” to highlight happenings in the UNCG athletics department.  
•	Assist with coordinating and tracking all community service projects performed by UNCG athletes, including the Spartan Athletics Fox 8 Gifts for Kids Campaign.  
•	Responsible for managing marketing interns within the athletic department. This includes managing their schedules, office duties and game day responsibilities. 
•	Marketing team was awarded the Gold Medal for its Season Ticket Sales Campaign in the Best of Awards program by the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) for Group II schools.
