I am an experienced event planning, marketing, and communications professional with a Master's Degree and a strong history of writing, communication, public speaking, and project management. •	Engages in all aspects of event planning, marketing, fundraising, and volunteer management for the Iredell County and Winston-Salem Heart Ball black-tie galas
•	Manages event budgets and goals, reports to Director of Development and Affiliate staff on progress

•	Upholds active stewardship plan with all donors, volunteers, sponsors, and friends of the American Heart Association
•	Conducts market research and creates field reports for senior leadership staff 
•	Supports coworkers with other events including Go Red for Women Luncheon and Heart Walk events

•	Chosen to serve as the sole oral history researcher for UNC-Greensboro’s Institutional Memory Project 
•	Planned, researched, and conducted oral history interviews with the first wave of African-American UNC-Greensboro students from the 1960s 
•	Researched national, local, and university history and social movements from the 1960s and 1970s
•	Managed all interview files including contact letters, interview agreements, spelling verification lists, and transcripts
•	Supported library and development staff with compiling database of potential interviewee and donor prospects 
•	Assisted with archiving interview footage and final transcripts into library’s permanent collection

Oral History Researcher/Interviewer

•	Organized, promoted, and executed all fundraising and programming events
