Designer statement: I see design inspiration every day and sometimes get inspired by the most unusual things. People, places, and everyday objects are all inspired creations and I do what I can to incorporate the uniqueness of otherwise ordinary things. Research drives my design process and it is the starting point for my designs. Learning what others have done, what is possible and what has yet to be achieved is the most exciting part of bringing my sketches to life. I strive to make clothing that is not only marketable across demographics, but is also sustainable in nature. I have the ability to see designs through the lens of the consumer and the chain of materials and labor needed for the finished product. My belief is that fashion does not have to be crazy to look good. The smallest details of a piece of clothing can make it unique and fashionable. My design aesthetic is clean and simple, and production sustainability is always in mind when I create garments. Elegantly minimal, eco-friendly and marketable clothing that flatters the wearer is always my goal when I begin drafting my designs.
