My passion is not just engineering but matching my hobbies and technology interests to innovative development.  My hobbies and interests include outdoors, hiking, biking, water sports, snow sports, electric vehicles, cars and trucks, personal watercraft, radio control vehicles, innovative design and engineering, product prototyping.

After an undergraduate and graduate degree, academic research, and multiple internships, I have worked for three years as an engineering professional at Teledyne Oil and Gas moving from an Engineer I position to an Engineer II position.  From this experience, I have learned a great amount about professional engineering and new product design/development.

I am looking for an exciting position as a design engineer in a work environment that is creative.  My goal is to align my job with my passions such that work becomes my passion as well.

Worked as material expert in material and molding development for subsea products in many harsh environments having a necessary performance life of 25 years.  Responsible for finding and developing manufacturing processes for polymers, ceramics, adhesives, and metals.  Responsible for establishing molding processes for gum and liquid silicone rubber materials.  Responsible for selecting, purchasing, and setting up two rubber injection molding machines.

Researched, built, and calibrated viscosity measuring instruments for two separate techniques.  Utilizing these techniques, I initiated a study of compositional effects on the viscosity of Borophosphate glasses and completed viscosity characterization of two experimental glass compositions.  Two publications were the result of this work.

Research Assistant

I had the opportunity to collaborate with researchers to treat high level nuclear waste by vitrification processes. My contributions include analyzing nuclear waste simulant melting behavior by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction.  With completion of the internship, my results were summarized in a final report for review by the Department of Energy.
