For the past three years, while completing my Applied Economics and Business degree,  I have been the Media Content Manager for the University of Oregon Physical Education and Recreation Department. 

Upon the acceptance of my degree this past June I completed my work with UO PE and Rec. 

While being afforded that opportunity I developed design, marketing, photography, editing, and interpersonal skills that I plan on applying to an upcoming career in marketing and sports business.

• Employ Adobe Suite to create digital images seen by up to 7,000 student recreation center visitors daily
• Compose tweets and Facebook posts scheduled via Hootsuite that reach up to 3,500 followers/subscribers daily
• Act as the copy editor for all print materials produced by the 8 person marketing team
• Completed the first ever 400-level social media class at the University of Oregon to learn industry practices and techniques
• Developed a 30-page social media marketing plan and presented it to the University of Oregon Digital Marketing Department
• Executed a social media plan to promote the grand opening of the new SRC which resulted in over 3,000 visitors

MEDIA CONTENT MANAGER

• Volunteered over 15 hours per week as the Assistant Boys Varsity Soccer Coach at Churchill High School
• Completed the 18-hour U.S. Soccer National ‘E’ licensing course to further qualify myself and develop my own concrete credentials
• Employed and developed communication skills amongst players and families from diverse backgrounds

SOCCER COACH

• Supervised a team of 12 students responsible for managing 80,000 square feet of recreation space
• Worked as a link between student employees and professional staff to develop and enforce updated policies within the facility
• Earned two promotions in a year and a half before receiving the Operation Supervisor designation
• Was chosen to attend Leadershape, a leadership camp held by the Holden Leadership Center, to hone team management skills

OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

• Managed purchase orders and inventory for two store locations while learning about the wholesaling process
• Reinforced customer service skills working on the retail floor and behind the counter

RETAIL SALES

• Developed customer service skills while working in a fast paced environment that hosted 5,000+ visitors daily
• Used multi-tasking skills to juggle various duties including selling memberships, answering phones, and providing facility tours
