Summary

“If you make a sale, you can earn a commission. If you make a friend, you can earn a fortune.” – Jeffrey Gittomer I am proud to say many of my clients from both my photography business and Breck’s Bicycle Shop have turned into friends. Building these relationships has greatly contributed to my success over the years. As a commercial photographer, the simplest part of my job is pressing a button. The fun part is everything that leads up to that button pressing moment. Seeking locations, temporary staff, or figuring out an alternative solution to traditional lighting methods, all plays into getting that perfect shot. It is important for me to stay up-to-date on the latest trends, too. When digital photography was in its infancy, I jumped on board and implemented changes in my business to make a slow and steady transition to an all-digital studio. As a retail sales manager I’m known for being able to fit the most challenging customers, including those with physical impairments. I can do this by asking the right questions to surface a client’s true needs. While at Breck’s I also led my team to be the top-selling shop of their three locations and earn recognition as one of America’s Best Bike Shops by the National Bicycle Dealers Association. It says a lot when you have a customer willing to drive 4 hours to your store and pay more money for a bike because he wanted the absolute best service, which we delivered. WHAT’S YOUR STORY? Now that I’ve shared a little of my story, I would love to hear about yours. Are you a business in need of updated product shots? A cyclist who would like to tweak their ride?
