Summary

As an innovator, outdoor leader, and community health advocate with an intense passion for strength-based initiatives, I thrive when creating new and efficient ways of empowering others. I have secured over $2 million in grant-funding for innovative grass-roots projects that utilize outdoor challenge, exploration and culture to forward intrinsic change in populations. I enjoy making order out of chaos; empowering large numbers of people to get what they need to make their lives better. To create that change for others, I generally strive to do the following: • Genuinely listen to the needs and struggles of the community. • Create outdoor challenge activities, and leadership opportunities that will challenge community participants to rise above current obstacles. • Create measurable objectives and achievable outcomes, using culturally tailored evidence- based services to meet the community need. • Enlist support from community advocates and stakeholders through conveying a sense of shared responsibility. • Secure grant-funding. • Select passionate, multi-cultural staff with an ability to think outside of the box. • Create new outdoor and cultural program methodology that can be replicated to improve the lives of many. _______________________________________________________________________________
