? Responsible for all business, advertising, and IT related expenses for the newspaper.
? Spent two years as the news department editor and covering breaking news and scheduling the coverage of ten other journalists.
? Rolled out a self hosted website for the organization and transition the staff to Google Apps.
? Brought the organization out of debt and ran a positive balance with new advertisers during time as EIC.

Editor in Chief

In support of the public relations team at CHOP, I pitched stories independently, planned press conferences, wrote and edited press releases and marketing copy, and coordinated a number of the hospital social media channels.
Accomplishments
? Worked with patients, doctors, and families to help guide them through experiences with the media.
? Managed and created content for 14 CHOP social media channels. Created multimedia content with video, photos, patient stories, and expert advice.
? Organized media visits to the hospital and interviews for a broad array of national, local, and international outlets.

Public Relations Intern

As the public relations assistant attached to a nonprofit tasked with delivering Internet access to the Philadelphia Housing Authority I led a team in street outreach to reach a population popular advertising could not reach.
Accomplishments
? Distributed 5,000 laptops, training, and Internet access to underprivileged Philadelphians in an attempt to bridge the digital divide.
? Interviewed and built media packages for pitching resident and organizational success stories.
? Worked one on one with residents to understand where they received their information, then rolled out a partner media plan with community organizations.
