Currently I am employed at Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) as a Sales Advisor. I am assigned to process truck deliveries for stock by tagging the products with sensors, placing them on hangers and placing them on racks and tables on sales floor. Also, I fold merchandise and tag with size stickers and I change the prices with sales tags and stickers on tags for seasonal sales or price reductions. On the sales floor I run the products, organize, and fix the products. I provide customer service to meet their wants/needs when they approach me. I assign the cashpoint by processing customers’ purchases and returns into the register. I interned for the company, By Mara for one year. I worked closely with the company’s designer/owner, Mara Ladines. As her assistant I participated in reviewing designs, choosing accessories, preparing outfits for runway shows and working convention sales booths. My responsibilities included cataloging products, organizing products in advance and affixing price tags, setting up sales booths, and assisting customers. The first job when I was employed at Polycomp Administrative Services, Inc., was the temporary file scan clerk. The responsibilities for my position was to do several different tasks for all trusts like Self-directed IRAs, Qualified Plans, and Association Trusts. The tasks were to scanning proper enrollment forms for all trusts into the computer databases, saving and copying the files, stamping, sorting, and scanning the returning mails from all trusts. I also did filing and organizing the files after the scanning and recoding process along with copying, faxing, and collating for all of the trusts. After working within three years in the summers at this position, it has increased my skills within the computer system and my abilities to find and organizing the files, and my knowledge to label the scanned files and write the dates on them. I earned my bachelor degree in Apparel Merchandising and Marketing at California State University at Northridge in Los Angeles. During my studies I had several experiences working in sales and merchandising. I was a fundraising chairperson and set up fundraising events for Alpha Sigma Theta’s Annual 23rd Carnation Gala, where I also hosted as emcee. More importantly, I developed immeasurable knowledge and leadership skills from my extracurricular involvement at CSUN. It taught me a great deal about strength, motivation, and hard work. My experiences also taught me how to work with a team, fulfilling the needs of my target market, and excelling in customer service.
