Technical Application Designer

Accumulated 5 plus years of design experience through education, internship, and work. Currently working at GTM Sportswear as a Technical Application Designer. Daily responsibilities includes but not limited to: creating default size run, base files, production files, photo samples, and POCs (Proof of Concepts) by utilizing Adobe Illustrator, complete projects according to Google Doc, utilizing Microsoft Office to communicate with other departments such as web development and merchandise artist, critique prototypes for fit and design errors, scale patterns, grade patterns using Gerber.

-Create POCs (Proof of concepts), photo samples, base files, and production files utilizing Adobe Illustrator with minimal errors and rework
-Critique prototypes for fits and design errors
-Participate in team scaling and marketing meetings 
-Scaling patterns and designs accordingly
-Communicate with Merchandising artists 
-Grade patterns using Gerber
-Create default size run to create base files and production files for production use, sales, and prototypes
-Create and execute projects with minimal supervision

-Tracked and traced product flow from country of origin to final delivery destination (Smyrna, Decherd, and Canton plant)
-Entered logistic data into logistic databases
-Maintained databases of logistic information
-Communicated with or monitor service providers, such as ocean carriers, air freight forwarders, global consolidators, customs brokers, or trucking companies
-Provided and communicated with inventory team to predict shortages
-Dispatched truckers and ensured that containers were delivered on time with parts to prevent plant shut down, production loss, or down time
-Applied analytic methods or tools to understand, predict, or control logistics operations or processes
-Created spreadsheets utilizing Microsoft Excel
-Acquired new projects developed by upper managements and ensured that all projects executed positively
-Oversaw and kept up-to-date with monthly accruals, shipments, and financial documents
-Utilized Microsoft Outlook to communicate and perform daily task and projects
-Utilized Foreign AETC Database 
-Attended meetings and conference calls
