Portfolio and Product Manager: Proximo Spirits

I have tread a few different career paths since college, however what they all have in common is helping and connecting with people. As a teacher and coach, I helped students learn and connect to the subject matters which I am an expert. As a writer, I have helped people connect to a sport they love. And as a portfolio manager, I have helped sales representatives become better stewards of our brands. 
Before moving into wine and spirits sales, I had only a consumer's knowledge of the subject. Since working for SWS, I am no means an expert, but instead a student always, learning as much as I can to better equip myself for my work. 
I feel that this is essential to my success; the ability to continuously learn and strive for new knowledge.

Managed Proximo's brand presence in the retail market.
Wrote copy for marketing collateral for the trade. 
Created POS programs to insure proper marketing and distribution of brands. 
Tracked sales and market positioning within all retail accounts in the state.
Worked within a LMF and budget to achieve brand goals. 
Developing pricing programs to help drive sales.

Developed programming and strategy to address product placement and marketing.

Educated and trained the sales force on the specifications and strengths of our brands. 
Created and implemented POS and display programs.
Worked within a small team to insure our fiscal goals are met.
Managed the market though our reps and district managers.
Planned tasting and promotional events for various brands and holidays to increase our market profile, awareness and sales.
Worked directly with the supplier of Jose Cuervo, 1800 Tequila, Kraken Rum, Stranahan's whiskey and several other major liquor brands to insure full market potential.
