I'm an enthusiastic graphic and information designer as well as a recent MFA graphic design graduate of San Diego State University in beautiful San Diego, California. You'll find that I'm a go-getter, eloquent problem solver, confident communicator, a creative-spark, every-detail-matters kind of designer. Additionally, my professional and academic experience have refined my understanding of timelines, budgets, project and design guidelines as well as client/vendor relationships, allowing me to excel both within creative teams and independently.

Project Based Freelance (Initiated in 2014) 

In direct collaboration with the Vice President of the Hospital Quality Association's (HQI), I developed a multipage booklet with the aim of informing and educating the HQI audience about their programs, successes, awards and future engagements. 

I designed and guided the project, over a number of weeks, from conception through printing. The booklet design is an easy to handle, visually engaging and content driven piece that was well received and fully utilized by the client. With respect to the existing HQI brand, I created a complimentary page layout, color palette, type and image treatment as well as custom information graphics.

Freelance Graphic Designer

Responsibilities 
· Creative lead for development and execution of both internal and client projects - initial concept generation through implementation of brand strategies and guidelines, visual messaging architecture in both print and digital mediums. 
· Concepting and idea-driven development of print and digital collateral - logos, sales sheets, case studies, marketing collateral, signage, posters, information graphics, websites, brochures and books as well as a broad range of event specific creative materials 

Accomplishments 
As the creative lead, I initiated and assisted with the development and execution of an internal company wide re-brand and design strategy - including establishing brand guidelines, logo, business papers, website and supportive collateral pieces. As well as acted as the driving creative force behind all client deliverables which included logo development, informational documents and multi-page prospectuses.

Marketing Designer

Annual Project Based Freelance (Initiated in 2009) 
Note: This is NOT full time work, this is project based only.

Design a wide range of event collateral that support established brand guidelines of Oregon State University while delivering cohesive visual solutions that look unique each year. 

Annual Dining Out event deliverables must to appeal to students and their families, faculty and staff. Collateral includes way finding signage, menus, maps, invitations and envelopes, announcements and event seating charts. These pieces utilize a new visual system each year which involves developing a cohesive color palette, type treatments, fresh layout and supportive graphic elements. This annual project requires a full engagement of concepting, creative development and production.

Project Based Freelance (Initiated in 2014) 

Brand assessment of logo and business collaterals. 

Assessed brand details including color, type treatment, logo application and business collateral - including business cards, envelopes, letterhead and thank you cards. Provided visual guidelines and creative direction for future implementation.

Designed and collaborated, with author and San Diego State University Professor Patricia Cue to create unique and dynamic book spreads involving energetic type and bold image layouts.
Responsible for creating novel layouts for the publication as well as typeface research and selection.

Associate Designer

Creative and production design of print and digital deliverables for diverse client base. Projects involved identity design, logo creation, brand development and management, concepting and creation of magazines, catalogues, advertisements, brochures, posters, signage, booklets as well as invitation sets and business papers. Responsible for all internship students.
