Michael Gierka

I am a San Diego based Designer and Marketer that is highly self-motivated and creative with a superb eye for detail and a drive for excellence.

I currently hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design having graduated with the honor of Magna Cum Laude from a four-year University. I have accrued a wealth of diverse experiance over the years as a professional designer while working in a fast paced, solution driven environment with a primary focus on creative, concept based design and marketing. I have gained a great deal of experience in both managerial duties and complex marketing campaigns that encompass advanced levels of planning and execution. These were accomplished by both designing and providing creative direction while establishing branding guidelines for several projects including apparel, print, identity design, user interface, app development, photography, and web design and development.

During my career I am very pleased to have been involved in several unique design opportunities. Some of these including the design and branding of a new series of home gyms designated the Mi series (Pronounced “My”), with the first unit being the Mi6 Functional Trainer. This project not only included branding the machine itself, but also contributing in the design of the user interface of Mi6 and Mi series as a whole while working closely with HOIST’s in-house team of engineers.

I am also very pleased to have been involved in a series of exercise and promotional videos based around a piece of equipment designated the MotionCage that I produced while with HOIST and provided concept, casting and direction.
