Newscast Director

I've worked in the TV production industry for seven plus years.  During my career I have worked as a videographer, graphic designer, video editor, and director.  I have a strong background in all thing video production that carry over into more than just news.  I've always wanted to get out of news and do something more creative and interactive.  My love for the outdoors seems like a natural fit for me to jump into a new career.


-	Southeast Emmy Award winner for Best Newscast (Markets 26-75)
-	Director for two fast-paced, multi-source, live newscasts daily
-	Sports videographer every Friday night during football season
-	Proficient with Grass Valley’s Ignite automation system
-	Ability to adapt to new technologies while still performing directing duties
-	Backup director for several other newscasts on a daily basis
-	Build production codes when needed for newscasts
-	Work closely with producers on production values of the newscast
-	Responsible for studio setup and maintenance 
-	Photographer / Editor for three months using Panasonic gear and P2 cards
-	Familiar with Grass Valley editing software such as News Edit and Edius 6.5

-	Direct 7PM, 10PM, 15 minute “Sports Wrap” and 11PM live newscasts
-	Experienced with Grass Valley’s Ignite automation system
-	Primary video editor for three shows a day using Edius 4
-	Line producer for the 7PM newscast
-	Skilled photographer using Panasonic 500 on the P2 format
-	Familiar with ENPS to produce rundowns
-	Use Adobe Photoshop and After Effects for graphic support
-	Responsible for posting web stories, studio setup and maintenance, training of new                             directors
