Motivated MBA graduate and Marketing Manager looking to offer marketing and consulting experience, and a diverse background in business and communications to a position in marketing. For over 8 years, I’ve worked as Marketing Manager for Diamond Brand and directed all marketing and public relations for this international outdoor gear manufacturer and retailer with over 200 employees while managing a marketing and PR budget of half a million dollars. During my time at Diamond Brand, I’ve written marketing plans, developed marketing strategies, and have also written PR plans. I’ve written content for social media, the website, brochures, and ads, and have written press releases. I was named an innovative marketer by SNEWS for my creative approach to partnering with media and providing content, and the Outdoor Industry Association has also recognized me for my successful event planning and leveraging of the media. I was on the cover of Verve Magazine both for my charity work and marketing successes, and was named a Top 40 Under 40 Young Professional. I have led Diamond Brand to being named a Top 100 Outdoor Retailer, a winner of the American Made Outdoor Gear Awards, and a Best of the Blue Ridge winner, and Best of Western North Carolina winner for 12 years in a row. In addition to my work at Diamond Brand, I have served on the boards of several non-profit organizations. For these organizations, I donate my time and marketing and public relations skills. These boards have included the American Advertising Federation Board, the WNC Nature Center Board, Asheville Affiliates Board, and Western Carolina University MBA Advisory Board. I have worked very closely with this organizations on developing both organization-wide strategies and marketing strategies.
