Assistant Buyer

Over eight years experience in buying. Thorough knowledge in purchasing, wholesale/retail, trend, negotiations, and vendor relations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with cross functional teams. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task.

•	Assists in all Unisex Accessories categories.
•	Supports in the selection and purchase of product from vendor lines, as well as seeking out new vendor opportunities.
•	Augments planned assortments based on trend data. 
•	Reporting, sales analysis, order strategizing, and markdowns.
•	Corresponds with vendors, including price negotiations, while providing excellent customer service. 
•	Monitoring delivery of product and quality control. 
•	PO entry and other miscellaneous data entry/clerical duties. 
•	Regularly attends trade shows to remain keen on current trends and products.

Associate Buyer 

•	Oversees all Accessories, Apparel, & Novelty categories.
•	Supports in the selection and purchase of product from vendor lines, as well as seeking out new vendor opportunities.
•	Augments planned assortments based on trend data. 
•	Product development for all categories including sourcing and project coordination.
•	Reporting, sales analysis, order strategizing, and markdowns.
•	Corresponds with vendors, including price negotiations, while providing excellent customer service. 
•	Monitoring delivery of product and quality control. 
•	PO entry and other miscellaneous data entry/clerical duties. 
•	Regularly attends trade shows to remain keen on current trends and products.


Associate Buyer

•	Supports and establishes relationships with all sales reps. to ensure excellent customer service.
•	Maintenance and development of reports to assist the sales force, including OTS reports. 
•	Partnerships with the development teams in creating new style masters.
•	Ordering salesman’s sample product, and organization and maintenance of samples.
•	Opening, maintaining, and assisting new accounts and distributors.  
•	RMA’s, Data analysis and other related duties as needed. 


Sales Operations

•	Supports in the selection and purchase of product from vendor lines, as well as seeking out new vendor opportunities.
•	Augments planned assortments based on trend data. Maintains assortment plans and OTB. 
•	Responsible for internet and store test buys across all categories in my department.
•	Product development for all categories including sourcing.
•	Reporting, sales analysis, order strategizing, and markdowns.
•	Corresponds with vendors, including price negotiations, while providing excellent customer service. 
•	Monitoring delivery of product and quality control. 
•	Partnerships with the Fit tech team to ensure correct fit and specs of all garments.
•	Regularly attends concerts, fashion events, and trade shows to remain keen on current trends.


•	Supports Assistant Buyer and Buyer on all day-to-day clerical functions of the department. 
•	Generates, maintains and follows through on all purchase orders. 
•	Monitors on-order and manages weekly receipt flow into DC. 
•	Requests and manages samples for fittings, photo shoots and meetings.
•	Creates recaps and top seller reports as needed. 
•	Purchase order entry.
•	Maintains positive working relationships with vendors and internal partners.
