Responsible for implementing Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Patient Access strategy, which is to connect patients with LLS core services soon after diagnosis; provide ongoing support, education, and access to quality care and partner with campaign and donor development in revenue generating activities. Act as the key mission “expert” for the chapter and deliver essential access and education services to multiple stakeholders to ensure patients receive quality, coordinated cancer care. Identify opportunities to better reach underserved communities through provider and community outreach. Conduct community-based education programs to include underserved communities and secondary markets. Conduct face-to-face visits with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other providers at cancer centers and community oncology offices, as well as with community-based organizations, to build relationships and introduce them to LLS mission and core services in order to increase patient referrals. Connect patients with LLS core services and/or external resources soon after diagnosis. Territory coverage includes Utah, Wyoming, and Western Colorado.
Key Highlights:
– Contributed in the planning and execution of a large, regionally based blood cancer conference with more than 500 participants.
– Conducted community-base educational program in conjunction with Huntsman Cancer Institute for patients and caregivers to “Meet the Doctors” and discuss their specific blood cancer diagnosis.
– Organized and executed a pre-screening program of “Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies” in which LLS contributed to the making of the film. More than 95 participants attended.
– Engaged patients, caregivers, and health care professionals to volunteer for campaign, donor development, and mission related activities.

Marketing/ Patient Access Manager

Assume full accountability in overseeing and directing marketing campaign to support company culture; while driving the overall achievement of organizational goals. Facilitate customer service training to new employees to address and provide existing and emerging client needs.
