I have been working in the field of events for the past 3 years. Starting off as an intern for the events and conferences office at Hope College, I went on to join the Student Activities Committee planning and executing events all over campus, while continuing to work for the school's main events office. Immediately after graduating in May of 2014 I relocated to Colorado for an internship with the event management company Human Movement Management (HMM). After completing my internship as the volunteer coordinator I joined the team full time, continuing to travel to events on the weekends and work as a member of the customer support team during the week. After deciding to move back to Michigan, I took a position as an IT recruiter with TEKsystems, the nation's leading and largest recruiting company. While this position was a beneficial learning experience for me, ultimately my heart is in events and I had to get back in that field. I have most recently finished up a contract assignment with HMM which allowed me to travel to various east coast cities producing The Dirty Girl Mud Run. The Dirty Girl is one of our most popular runs, consistently drawing 3,500-6,000 runners each weekend. I am now looking to move to Denver permanently and am seeking a full time role planning and producing events for company that encourages healthy living and an active lifestyle.
