Digital/Social Media Coordinator

My background in the Web and Digital Marketing department of Salem Communications, has allowed me to work in an environment where I utilize skills I have obtained in a professional setting. I have coordinated numerous aspects of social media, web design, video, graphic design, and photography, utilizing a multitude of various computer software running both Mac OS and Windows.

I am always looking forward to further expand my skills and knowledge to continue learning in all aspects of my life especially on the professional front and this opportunity complements my interest and conforms to my aptitudinal strengths. This position will supplement my desire to become more dynamic within this industry, whilst allowing me to utilize my ability to act accordingly when the unexpected arises.

My experience in this industry has helped me demonstrate my capability of guiding others and encouraging strong cooperation and collaboration through the creative process of production, while tackling the challenges presented to me. During my undergrad at Cal State Fullerton coordination, collaboration, and improvisation were my responsibilities. Being flexible and efficient was paramount to managing problems or difficulties from the various situations and circumstances my team encountered, thus resulting in a satisfactory outcome.

I develop an understanding of marketing through multiple social media’s platforms. I manage the Facebook accounts of four on-air talents and one main station page. I am consistently assigned multiple projects in either marketing, graphic design, or media production that requires coordination and planning to ensure it is completed at the designated deadline. I maintain many digital databases, update the website content, and keep inventory of promotional items. I enrolled in extracurricular studies that focused on understanding industry trends to extend brand focus, promoting internal marketing initiatives, and conducting insight monitoring to progressive or regressive trends. I coordinate station campaign giveaway contests and assist in marketing online. My responsibilities consist of social engagement with listeners via Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, etc. A bulk of my time is also dedicated to assisting Account Managers produce on-air commercials, content development for the station and clients which involves the editing of audio and video. These are the typical day to day duties of my position in this fast paced industry.
