Group Network and Infrastructure Manager

I am the Group Network and Infrastructure Manager at Masco Corporation a US-owned manufacturing company. I am responsible for managing the IT operations and infrastructure team of 20 people for the cooperation, leading on the provision of effective IT service solutions that underpin the day to day functionality and infrastructure for over 27 separate geographical sites and in the region of 1600 end users. 

By taking ownership of the delivery of a strategic, modern IT infrastructure, I have created and implemented a shared vision of change for the organisation by taking forward business centralisation, virtualisation,  standardisation, consolidation of legacy hardware and software systems and processes via data and system racialization. I have scoped and engineered bespoke technical architecture that enables agile, secure, robust and cost-effective delivery of services with business continuity and disaster recovery at the forefront of the IT provision of the organisation. In support of achieving these outcomes, I have developed and implemented a comprehensive corporate IT framework which is consistent and effective in governance. 

Significant elements of this role incorporate identifying and implementing robust project planning, prioritisation and resourcing to lead project delivery and identify solutions to manage resource conflicts and shortfalls.  I also employ hands-on management of third party contractors in order to ensure high quality, cost effective service delivery through strong relationship management, planning, risk management, technical direction, quality control and SLA management.

I am also required to develop and monitor departmental KPIs to ensure agreed targets and standards are met and drive continuous improvement within the team. In order to manage and develop the IT service, I have budget responsibility in excess of $2m
