Graduating RIT with a BFA in Industrial Design and AAS of Illustration honored me with experience of a number of different arts – design, sculpting, molding, illustration and painting. Hands-on experience in all these attributes has helped to expand the possibilities for what can be done with any given theme. Inspiration has come in many forms, among which are my many artist peers, my growing number of personal clients, and the places I have lived or visited. My desire is to make. The greatest pleasure is that of constructing something with your own hands; using the tools at your disposal, the idea in your head, and the deadlines to drive onward. If necessity is the mother of invention, then a deadline is the father of realization. Idle hands are not my forte and they aren’t very comfortable, either. In the past, I have worked for several volunteer and not-for-profit groups, have held management positions, and have handled jobs in customer service, retail, and event management. On the side I currently handle private commissions as well as sell some small items on a web-shop called ContraDorktion.
