As an experienced community relations, communications, and marketing professional, I have built a career that has revolved around effective marketing solutions, program creation, event management, and public relations development. My career began as an Account Executive with Henderson Advertising and continued at Erwin Penland Advertising in Greenville, SC. While working for these two distinguished agencies, I led a variety of local, regional, and national account campaigns, including national advertising campaigns for Costa Del Mar and Michelin, N.A. Inc., as well as regional campaigns for SouthTrust Bank, Elliott Davis, Inc., Earth Fare Market and Verizon Wireless. While at Erwin Penland, I managed a budget of over $10 million for Verizon Wireless, handling the entire Southeastern sponsorship account, which included work with the Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Falcons, Miami Heat, and a variety of major colleges and universities. Additional experience as the Program Director for Greenville Forward gave me the opportunity to explore community based program planning, as well as developing marketing for a start-up Non Profit organization. In my role with Greenville Forward, I worked with many of the businesses in Greenville County to form partnerships, establish programming, and build relationships to help enhance the reach of Vision 2025, Greenville’s long-term, community-wide vision for the future. Through this role, I developed comprehensive marketing plans that helped promote the work and leadership of the organization to multiple audiences. I also served in the media relations role, working with all news sources to develop significant exposure for the organization. Following work with Greenville Forward, I served in the role of Business and Community Relations Manager at Brown Mackie College – Greenville, where I worked with businesses in the Upstate to build the brand of the college and expand the community outreach opportunities for their students. In this role, I also handled all aspects of the community enrichment programs, which includes sponsorship opportunities, community engagement, and media relations.
