Community Investment Manager

As an experienced community relations, communications, and marketing professional, I have built a career that has revolved around effective marketing solutions, program creation, event management, and public relations development.

My career began as an Account Executive with Henderson Advertising and continued at Erwin Penland Advertising in Greenville, SC.  While working for these two distinguished agencies, I led a variety of local, regional, and national account campaigns, including national advertising campaigns for Costa Del Mar and Michelin, N.A. Inc., as well as regional campaigns for SouthTrust Bank, Elliott Davis, Inc., Earth Fare Market and Verizon Wireless.  While at Erwin Penland, I managed a budget of over $10 million for Verizon Wireless, handling the entire Southeastern sponsorship account, which included work with the Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Falcons, Miami Heat, and a variety of major colleges and universities.  
	
Additional experience as the Program Director for Greenville Forward gave me the opportunity to explore community based program planning, as well as developing marketing for a start-up Non Profit organization.  In my role with Greenville Forward, I worked with many of the businesses in Greenville County to form partnerships, establish programming, and build relationships to help enhance the reach of Vision 2025, Greenville’s long-term, community-wide vision for the future.  Through this role, I developed comprehensive marketing plans that helped promote the work and leadership of the organization to multiple audiences.  I also served in the media relations role, working with all news sources to develop significant exposure for the organization.

Following work with Greenville Forward, I served in the role of Business and Community Relations Manager at Brown Mackie College – Greenville, where I worked with businesses in the Upstate to build the brand of the college and expand the community outreach opportunities for their students.  In this role, I also handled all aspects of the community enrichment programs, which includes sponsorship opportunities, community engagement, and media relations.


•	Established, facilitated and executed effective and open communication with volunteers, partners, and staff particularly related to decisions and strategy
•	Analyzed, monitored, and communicated progress against specific strategies and goals as outlined in Financial Stability Roadmap
•	Identified current implementation challenges and developed comprehensive solutions to address them
•	Provided direction to partner and strategic organizations in aligning work around the Financial Stability Roadmap
•	Developed advocacy and community engagement priorities in partnership with appropriate staff and volunteers
•	Developed sustainable funding plans for financial stability initiatives as needed
•	Worked with communications/marketing staff to develop materials and communications plans as needed

•	Worked throughout Upstate, SC to develop events, and market to businesses on educational needs, while building agency relations, and partnering with community leaders
•	Generated leads for admissions, as well as enhance the positive awareness of the college within the community
•	Conducted research of trends and the current educational environment, as well as study current and future and current Brown Mackie programs
•	Developed marketing and communications plans to identify new business opportunities through community engagement, positioning Brown Mackie to meet unmet business needs
•	Worked directly with President to analyze and approve sponsorship opportunities within the community that meet specific mission and vision goals for the organization
•	Served on the Executive Committee for the campus

Business and Community Relations Manager

•	Executed various multimedia-marketing campaigns such as producing video advertising, brochures, promotional items, and presentation materials for the organization and all programs
•	Served as media relations contact for organization, working with radio, TV, and print outlets to promote events and program initiatives 
•	Developed public relations campaigns to increase public awareness of the organization 
•	Developed, implemented and sustained new programs designed to encourage community involvement and fulfill Vision 2025 goals and objectives, to include strategic marketing and promotion of program events
•	Collaborated directly with Executive Director to establish budgets, investigate potential revenue streams and provide strategic planning processes to sustain the organization

Program Director

Clients: Verizon Wireless, Earth Fare, BMW Manufacturing, Greenville Drive
•	Supervised and managed marketing and promotion for all Verizon Wireless sponsorships in the Southeast including the Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, Atlanta Falcons, Miami Heat, and many Universities throughout area
•	Managed multi-million dollar budget for Verizon Wireless sponsorship program
•	Supervised and managed all internal marketing and display development for BMW- Plant Spartanburg and The Zentrum, the BMW Visitors Center
•	Oversaw the launch for a new minor league baseball team in Greenville, SC, The Greenville Drive, including naming, branding, marketing planning and advertising campaigns
