Product Developer

I am passionate about entrepreneurship and love seeing startups succeed. I have grown up around successful entrepreneurs and know this entrepreneurial spirit is apart of me. I crave having a track record of being involved in and playing an essential role in companies growth and development. I crave working in an environment that inspires creativity through freedom, hard work, and good culture.

I have always loved product development and creating new and innovative products to bring to market. My most recent project was designing, prototyping, and sourcing the Perch Sit-to-Stand desk. This product is currently being funded on Kickstarter:

I have 3+ years of experience in marketing and advertising. In my time working at an ad agency I have done account management, copywriting, media buying and sales. I enjoy developing strategic marketing plans and executing them. Seeing sales increase and companies grow as a result of successful marketing is what motivates me.

I am a University of Utah graduate and received my BS in Economics with a Minor in Business. I strive each day to improve and expand my skill set.

Perch Products is a fast growing startup with the goal of helping the world effortlessly integrate standing into everyday life. We have done this by developing the most affordable and customizable sit-to-stand desk on the market. As a startup I have been able to play a key role in the development process and growth of Perch Products. My roles and responsibilities for Perch have included:

Product Development
     - Initial Product Concept
     - Conducted Market Research
     - Prototyping
     - Conducted and wrote questions for focus groups
     - Sourced Cost Effective Samples

Sourcing / Manufacturing Products
     - Found and got quotes from factories in the U.S., Mexico and China
     - Researched materials to ensure Perch is using only the highest quality materials
     - Negotiated pricing with manufacturers to meet product's cost goals
     - Created Tech Pack to communicate product specifications with manufacturer
     - Researched and found best shipping methods to allow desk to be shipped worldwide for only $35

Marketing / Branding
     - Photographed Product
     - Used Adobe Illustrator to create graphics that explained the desk and it's measurements
     - Wrote content for Kickstarter
     - Helped write script and direct marketing video
     - Built landing page for gathering emails

Sales
     - Perch desk did $86,000 in first day on Kickstarter
     - In two weeks Perch desk did $190,000 on Kickstarter

I am passionate about the work I do and love to create new products. I think outside of the box and know how to find solutions to problems.

Landmark was voted best home warranty in the region in 2015 and 2014. As an Inbound Sales Representative I provided every new customer with a welcoming call to answer any questions and explain how their warranty worked. I answered any questions consumers had and signed up new accounts.

Inbound Sales Representative

Under the agency umbrella of Chase Marketing, we give you access to incredible bulk rate buying power and full scope marketing solutions. We handle all your national and Utah advertising needs from TV, radio, internet, outdoor, direct mail, print, public relations, and much much more. Also, we do not charge “junk fees.” My roles and responsibilities included:

- Responsible for purchasing / negotiating all forms of Print, Mail and Billboard for clients
- Responsible for developing new business through individual sales efforts
- Create and execute strategic media plans
- Create and organize reports for clients to show accountability

Account Executive / Media Buyer

Sales and service: I organized our sales team and instructed them on our door approach.  I helped set the goals for our sales reps and followed up with them.  I generated new business with local lawn care companies and managed those accounts.

Co-founded specialized shoe production and marketing company with Davis Warnock: We produced light weight canvas shoes that commemorated people in history who stood up for what they believed in. Heroes such as Abraham Lincoln and Rosa Parks.
