PGA Golf Professional

As a PGA Golf Professional for more than 24 years, I deliver dedicated, friendly service to customers to ensure their enjoyment of all aspects of their daily experience.  As the staff team leader, I promote safe, respectful working conditions, with consistent attention to the details of the customer's experience.  I believe that outstanding performance earns repeat business and referrals, the key to the success for any hospitality business.

I have had the opportunity to work with very dynamic leaders in the golf industry at Private, Resort, and daily fee Golf Course Properties.  Among my career highlights are:  Opening Team Member at Pelican Hill, Oak Creek, and Lost Canyons Golf Clubs, working behind the scenes on 4 PGA Tour Events held at Sherwood Country Club, organizing golf tournaments for the enjoyment of the members at Sherwood, as General Manager/Director of Golf, overseeing private club operations at Marbella CC, The Crosby Club, La Cañada Flintridge CC, and completing a 3-year renovation project at Palmas del Mar CC, Puerto Rico.  In 2012-2013, I was the General Manager of Los Serranos Country Club, an individual family-owned, 36 hole facility in Chino Hills, that received the California Golf Course Owners'? Association's 2012 Course of the Year Award.  



Improved the performance of up to 9 Staff members for IRS-compliant Prospecting and Screening of self-employed delivery drivers to partner with more that 125 restaurant marketing and delivery companies, nationwide.  Laid off due to implementation of new technology and company restructuring, 9/22/2015.
	Improved Weekly Call Goal Efficiency by 56.6%	
	Improved Weekly Qualified Candidate Efficiency by 56.3%

Director of Operations

Managed $6 million Operations Budget, 6 direct-report managers
Improved daily operations standards, developed and instituted a player loyalty program for more than 1,500 players in 90 days.  Instituted a 17% turf reduction plan to reduce irrigation use and expense in 2013.  Improved Costs of Goods Sold:  Food 29.1% to 26.9%, Beverage:  24.0% to 23.0%

General Manager

Managed $5 million Operations Budget, including $3 million in event sales revenue, and 9-direct report managers.  Modernized operating standards and procedures for the privately owned country club

Managed staff of 20 to serve club members, daily operations, golf cart fleet, locker rooms, housekeeping, and tournaments.

Head Golf Professional

Marbella Country Club:  Managed $800k Improvement Projects and an $8 million annual operations budget
Riverwalk Golf Club:  Maintained responsibilities for $6 million annual operations budget

Palmas del Mar Country Club, Puerto Rico:  
	2004-Completed $800,000 Beach Club Renovation Project, and Club Management Renovations.  	2003-05-Maintained responsibilities for a $9 million Semi Private Resort operations budget	

Lost Canyons Golf Club, Simi Valley, CA	Head Golf Pro, PGA A-1	
Managed staff of 20 in daily operations, golf cart fleet, locker rooms, housekeeping, and tournaments.  Established operation training, policies and procedures as a member of the opening team. Managed Golf Shop purchasing and merchandising, golf instruction, and tournament sales

Managed 28 non-member tournaments per year that generated $1.4 million in revenue
Assisted management of 4 PGA Tour Events and all club member events, golf shop merchandising, and 40 caddies
