Business Development Manger Aus / NZ

I started my career in the Adventure tourism industry 6 years ago and have worked in adverse range of areas; Retail, hospitality, adventure tourism, not for profit, social media marketing. 

For the past 3 years I have been the Business Development manger for three of the biggest brands within the Backpack Tourism industry and have excelled in these roles. Prior to that I completed an internship with Surfing Queensland under the direction of now CEO Adam Yates, where I gained employment after and continued to work in all departments of the organisation ; events, marketing, community engagement and operations. 
Prior to that I was the director of social media marketing for an architecture and interior design company that originated on the Gold Coast. 
I am currently looking for a sea change and a new challenge.

My primary focus in this role was the growth of Skydive Australia Group. 

I predominately coordinate the development and promotion of Skydive Australia through ensuring high brand visibility to our key demographic and stakeholders. 

The role is highly varied from sales and marketing to community engagement to trade shows and presentations. A large portion of these roles revolves around developing new business through the nurturing and development of ongoing relationships – particularly with universities, student societies, study abroad agencies, language schools, travel agencies and work and holiday agencies and strategic partnerships within the community

From 2012 to 2013 I was the producer of all online and social media campaigns for The Flip Side Architecture & Design. A new Gold Coast company that was just staring out. I was responsible for all online brand strategies and social media content. As well as coordinating advertising campaigns such as Google Ad Words, Facebook, Instagram, Blogs, print media and PR.

I completed and internship with Surfing Queensland under the direction of Adam Yates (CEO) where after I successfully gained employment. It is here that I acquired valuable experience in the coordination and development of surfing events and education initiatives with the aim to promote the sport to the wider community and enhance the overall awareness of surfing in Queensland. It was a great stepping stone in the development of my public speaking and presentation skills
