Paul Spaur has many years of public service experience, first as a Paramedic, then later as a conservationist, environmental science researcher and educator. Paul has always be interested in technology and engineering, and has spent much of his free time working on race cars and radio controlled vehicles. After returning to school to complete a B.S. degree in Biology with a focus on remote sensing and marine ecology, he realized his passion for ocean conservation while working in an environmental science laboratory. Currently he focuses his attention toward the protection of the oceans through the promotion of STEM education, (working specifically with under-served populations), using open source and low cost technology, and through the use of remotely piloted systems. He is also passionate about researching and educating others about the impacts of the changing climate.
