You have probably come on here looking and expecting a list of high achieving accolades, gold medal winning performances, and work experiences reaching across a thousand different fields. Sorry to disappoint, but you are not going to find much of that here. I place a greater emphasis on living life freely and pursuing passions, than I do the importance of any academic or professional achievement that has been achieved without enjoyment in doing so. I have spent the past 5 years travelling the world, working in a job I love, surfing at every opportunity I get, and studying in a field many people are surprised interest's me (accounting). My job has given me the pleasure of incorporating two things I love being surfing, and helping people. Be it selling a surfboard, a new wetsuit, or even a block of surf wax, it brings me a certain level of joy knowing that I have helped a customer peruse something they enjoy as much as I do. I believe a successful business provides customer support that keeps the individual or corporation coming back, and that there are easier, more profitable ways to compete than on price. If you can provide the expertise and knowledge that a customer is after in regards to a small purchase, the likely hood of that customer coming back when it is time to purchase big is always improved. Besides my learning in the field of accounting, I have taken a keen interest into the field of management, and in particular motivational techniques. Every individual is motivated in some sort of different way to the next, and in today’s competitive environment, it is more important than ever to know what it is that motivates your employees. So here you have me, I’m always eager to learn and I like to think outside the box. I believe in a work life balance and I’m after a career that brings with it rewards from completing the work itself, not just the reward of a pay check at the end of the week.
