Good Afternoon, I was excited upon reading the opportunity to work for Monster Energy, as Multicultural Marketing Manager. I would love to be considered for an interview, but first here is a little information about myself. I have a wide spectrum of experience in my history ranging from time as a U.S. Marine, to time as an Intern with Magnetic Creative. While I was a Marine I worked in the aviation field where I was a Lead Helicopter Mechanic for a squadron. After years of service Later I was involved in a tragic accident that caused great trauma to my left hand and would ultimately lead to my medical discharge. As I served my final years as a Disabled Veteran I worked closely With the Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS). There I served as a vendor liaison for in store promotional advertisings. As I gained the confidence of my superiors I was promoted to an Event Coordinator where I worked as part of a team for on base events such as the Camp Pendleton Mud Run, and various concerts sponsored by MCCS. After my time with the Marine Corps came to an end I was left with an opportunity to continue my education and follow my passion for art and culture. I enrolled in the Art Institute of California-San Diego, and pursued my Bachelor degree in Advertising. While I was a full-time student I was fortunate enough to intern with Magnetic Creative. I wanted experience in all positions of the agency to get a better understanding of how it worked. My first two weeks where shadowing the Traffic Manager where I assisted her in keeping appointments on schedule and followed as she managed the clients hours in Base Camp. My next position was with the Project Manager where they showed me how important it was to maintain constant client communication, whether it was via email, video conference, or a scheduled phone call. Lastly I got to study under the Creative Director David Carrillo. Under his supervision I was able to witness first hand as sketches turned to logos, as ideas became part of written strategy. My time as an intern (6 months) vastly developed my skill and experience far beyond my expectations. I would love to be considered for an interview with Monster Energy, I believe I have a lot to offer in the way work ethic and creativity. I understand the relationship that a brand and a consumer share. I understand that market research is imperative to decide the appropriate channel, or direction a brand will follow. I have extensive experience collaborating with others and leading a team. I understand I am new and though that may be seen as a negative I also am reminded how a fresh mind helps to invigorate an organization. Thank you for your time, Christopher L. Calderon
