Freelance Designer

A BFA Product Design alumni from the University of Oregon, my interest lies between the intersections of well thought-out design, new technologies, and manufacturing; this serves to better people's lives. 

While pursuing a degree in product design, I spend my spare time staying on the bleeding edge of tech. When I'm not perfecting my skills as a designer, I like learning and implementing new ways to not only get it done right, but do so as efficiently as possible. During college, I designed and sewed my own bike bags and backpacks, as well as sold small runs to clients both domestic and overseas. Recent activities include a self-taught crash course on understanding HTML/CSS/JS, use of frameworks like Bootstrap, migration of my personal site to a more responsive layout, and from zero to working proficiency in command line GitHub and Vim in less than 2 weeks. I also dabble in bash scripting, pc building, and custom firmware modification for mechanical keyboards.

This innate drive for exploration and innovation is a component of my practice that I find most rewarding. Even if I think I have solved a problem, I will test and test again until the edge cases are solved, and a new form of the design will have taken hold. The inquiry and stubborn prodding at solutions is what I think takes mediocre solutions, to something truly lasting.
