I have spent many years managing and buying for high end boutiques in Providence, RI most recent of which is Downcity Outfitters. We offer authentic apparel and accessories for the adventurer at heart. As Lead Buyer and General Manager I am responsible for all functions of Downcity Outfitters. I select and merchandise all product that enters this boutique. I am also responsible for managing all online sales and developing all social media contant via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. It is important for me personally and professionally to keep up with current trends and I do so through, extensive research and attending trade shows nationwide. As a retail professional, I believe that product knowledge and a friendly demeanor are crucial to the success of any company. Although I currently live and work in Rhode Island I am seeking a relocation opportunity and am willing to travel to pursue an opportunity such as this to further my career.

I was responsible for product knowledge, customer service, merchandising and sales of American Design Club products. I also was responsible for the set up and break down for the NYNOW gift show located at the Javits Center in New York, NY.

Freelance Sales Representative

Downcity Outfitters is a high end, boutique supplying Providence, RI with stylish outdoor apparel and accessories for the adventurer at heart. As the Lead Manager
and Buyer I am responsible for all facets of this boutique. At the start of this position,
I oversaw the construction and design of the interior of this store. I was then responsible for hiring a small staff of four, which I currently oversee as well as handle all scheduling and payroll. I merchandise all new products entering the store, manage online sales and develop all social media content via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. As the Buyer it is crucial for me to keep up with current trends and I do so by attending trade shows such as Capsule, Liberty, Stitch, Sole Commerce, and the Magic Trade Show in Providence, RI, New York, NY, and Las Vegas, NV. Through my extensive work in the retail industry I know the value of an outstanding work ethic as well as creating and maintaining positive, professional relationships with my colleagues, customers, sales representatives, and vendors. As I push forward in my career, I have become extremely passionate about the buying end of retail and I now seek a position in which I can pursue such opportunities.

Buyer/ Store Manager

Frog and Toad is a renowned boutique in Providence, RI offering gifts and artisanal goods. In this position my responsibilities included opening the store as a key holder, managing and working with a small staff as well as maintaining the boutique from 10:00am to 6:00pm, six days a week. As Lead Manager, customer service is of course a number one priority at all times. My daily responsibilities included product knowledge, merchandising, display design, buying and selling product, stock and inventory, as well as shipping and receiving. Daily cash out of the stores earnings and a working knowledge of POS Lightspeed on our storewide Mac system are also a necessity as a Lead Manager.
