I am a marketing major at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. My plan is to pursue a career in marketing and eventually to own my own business in the surf industry. I'd like to first start working with major surf brands or brands in the fashion industry and travel after graduating from UNCW.  I have worked as an ambassador with brands such as O'neill through social media and hope to work with more brands in this way in the future. I have developed strong interpersonal skills through my work as a waitress and as a sales associate in retail.  In addition to my fascination and dedication to business, I am very passionate about charity and helping my community, as well as people around the world. Therefore I plan to do as much charity work as possible during the time I am attending college as well as after I graduate.

As an intern I was responsible for media development, specifically video and photography for social media sites and written content for weekly blog posts.  I also continuously audited and improved the company website through the use of alt tags and condensing or expanding pages while increasing SEO.  I sought out new or unconventional channels to advertise through and actively sought new connections throughout the United States to expand our network in the yacht sales industry.  During the time I was there, I successfully and independently ran and created the concept, graphics, and landing page for a social media contest that increased our brand awareness and organized and executed the advertisement of our company at local events.  

Marketing Intern

Clean the shop, open and close, running daily operations, give customers information on clothing/brands, start/complete rentals, organize clothing, make displays, receive orders and put out new products, assist customers with board recommendations, install fins/accessories, assist customers with purchases/returns

Sales Clerk

Kitchen preparation, attending to all customer needs, bringing own bank to make change for customers, filling drinks, preparing appetizers/desserts, running food, cleaning the restaurant, taking to-go orders, helping fellow employees as needed, developing inter personal skills interacting with customers
