Freelance Graphic Designer

My name is Robert Hyatt, but please call me Rob. I am a graphic designer based out of the Philadelphia area specializing in brand conception, integration, and expansion. My experience has taught me the value of a well thought-out and strategic creative process to achieve any marketing team’s visions. I am very proficient with Adobe’s creative suite, making any print project easily achievable. I am also trained in the basics of the web languages HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, allowing me to create simple digital layouts and effectively communicate with a development team. 

The outdoors are where I live the best part of my life. My passions are snowboarding and rock climbing; they push my physical and mental capabilities to their absolute limit and hone my ability to act intelligently and quickly under pressure. In addition to climbing and riding, I'm an avid camper, mountain biker, and if the opportunity allows it, scuba diver. Because these activities so immediately define who I am, I'm looking for positions in the outdoor industry to marry my passions for design and extreme sports. 

All in all, I’m a very relatable, friendly, and cultured person. Last year I spent more than 6 months backpacking solo through South America exploring and learning. I’d be a valuable member of your team not only because of the creative and technical skills I have to offer, but also because we can have fun together tackling obstacles to achieve your brand’s goals. 


I assisted the Creative Director of GT Bicycles over a 4 month period with his day to day design needs. We collaborated on projects in a variety of mediums including both print and web. Some examples of projects I worked on include logo rebranding, photo manipulation, catalog layout and design, print & web advertising, website design, brochure design, apparel design, vehicle wraps, and packaging.

The Vice-President of Toolnut, based in Mahopac NY, is a very close friend of mine who often employs my design / design consulting services. Most recently I created a custom set of over 30 different icons to establish different product categories for their new website set to launch early next year. In addition to the web work, I assist him with quick design projects. For instance large scale banner advertising, apparel design, and email/web advertising.

Out of school I joined a design start-up based out of South Norwalk CT that prided itself in being a one-stop-shop when it came to design needs for new brands and established brands. My position as Senior Designer included responsibilities such as making and meeting new clients, project planning, design conception and execution, creative editing, print production, and client follow-up to ensure further business and proper implementation of previous work. During my stay at CSD Branding our clients doubled as well as our work force to compensate for the enlarged work load.
