Construction Manager

I have been managing the install of large utility scale PV power plants around the country for the last 6 years.  Previous to my current job I was the production shop lead with Nordstrom for 5 years where we worked closely with the cooperate design team to construct all window and in store props for the entire NE and Capital regions.  We also designed, built, and installed several large designer fashion shows throughout the year.   I freelanced for 2 years building and installing windows and in store props for 3 Louis Vuitton stores in the Capital Region.  Before  Nordstrom I worked for 5 years in South Florida as a high end architectural work wood fabricator and installer.

Work with all aspects of the EPC process including business development, engineering, logistics, procurement, construction, and operations and maintenance, designing, building, and operating utility scale PV solar power plants

- Monitor and oversee all civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes of work on the project to ensure they meet contractural obligations
- Direct the execution of work in accordance with approved contracts
- Work with sub contractor and Juwi engineering teams to troubleshoot and problem solve any design issues in the field
- Ensure all quality assurance programs are fully administered and complied with
- Report work and safety deficiencies identified during field inspections
- Manage project construction activities ensuring Honor, Teamwork, Quality, Schedule, Cost, Safety, Environment, and Landowner requirements are met or exceeded 
- Successfully managed the installation of a 43 million dollar solar power plant, bringing the project in ahead of schedule and in time to receive a 4 million dollar tax incentive bonus 
- Involved in the design, management, and construction of over 100 megawatts of PV solar
- One of two selected to travel to Gujarat, India to manage the installation of a 10MW solar power plant

Design, construct, and install display fixtures and large scale fashion show sets

- Lead continuous process improvement to increase efficiencies and reduce errors in design, disassembly, transportation, and remote reassembly of products 
- Liaison between the conceptual design team and the construction team communicating ideas to reach a final product design
- Team lead responsible for overseeing assembly and construction staff in the physical fabrication and install activities 
- Designed component coding system that improved the quality and speed of product reassembly at final locations
- Created and maintained relationships with vendors while placing orders for products components; responsible for understanding product specifications and communicating needs to vendors 
- Operated under strict timelines and often with logistical constraints
- Provided prop inventory and maintenance for 40+ full line stores
- Involved in the design, construction, and installation of 5-8 fashions shows a year

Display/Production

Coordinated and installed store window and interior merchandising displays

- Worked closely with corporate and regional design teams
- Managed a team of craftsmen in the installation of display designs
- Constructed custom components in offsite location for on site installation
- Maintained a high quality of work under very strict time constraints
- Responsible for all window and interiors for 3 full line store in the Capital Region

Freelance Display Installer

Involved in all areas of operation including design, construction, finishing, and installation of high end custom architectural woodwork and furniture units.  

- Translated technical blueprints to shop drawings
- Worked closely with interior design teams and homeowners ensuring all design needs we're satisfied
- Constructed projects from raw materials to finished products
- Completed work in several $14 million spec homes around the Miami and West Palm Beach areas, most project rooms ranging in cost from $200,000 to $400,000
