Mechanical Engineer

5+ years in new product development in lithium ion batteries, with 3+ years in a mechanical engineering role. I apply new ideas, materials, and assembly methods to develop new, high-performing systems.

Reporting to the Director of R&D, I am responsible for the mechanical development of new battery components and systems.

I use SolidWorks to produce detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of parts and assemblies. 

I work with vendors to source and improve components.

I apply new materials and develop new processes to enable advancements in our upcoming and existing products.

I investigated new materials for high energy lithium ion batteries.

I developed new processes to apply nanomaterials to the electrode manufacturing process.

I prepared and characterized test samples, and documented my findings in technical reports.
