I am right now an Award Winning Television News Photojournalist at KSNV.  Before working for KSNV, I started and ran my own business, Colorado Video Pros.  I also worked for some other video production companies during that time.  I have worked as a Television News Photojournalist at KTVK in Phoenix, and KTVN in Reno for five years.  I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in TV/Video Productions from Northern Arizona University.  I have a driver's license with a perfect clean driving record with no accidents or no speeding tickets.  I also have a very deep passion for this business by going to the National Press Photographers Association News Video Workshop in Norman, OK and producing top notch accurate news stories to the best of my abilities.

• Won the 2014 National ARRL Bill Leonard Award for the "Local Heroes" package that profiles the Nevada Amateur Radio Emergency Service with outstanding coverage that highlights the enjoyment, importance and public service value the Amateur Radio Service has to offer.
• Assigned to stories that we have developed on our own or been assigned by management that will be featured in a package with a live shot for any of the newscasts.
• When producing, shooting, editing these packages, I work as a team with the reporter, assignment desk, producers, executive producers, news director, live control, editors, engineers and graphics department. It is very important to work as a team to produce the best stories for our shows.
• When breaking news occurs, I gather as much information I can get, drive to the location, shoot the scene, interview key people to the story with the reporter, put together a package or a soundbite with video and go live with the story for any of the newscasts.

• Performed, met, exceeded every challenge, responsibility, & deadline that was presented.
Knowledge/use of the radio scanners, & calling all of major contacts were a lifeline to get the news. Coordinating, managing, & prioritizing all of the news stories that went on the morning show. Also made sure the news crew got in place and was ready for our time slot in the show.
• My Customer Service Skills were very important and used often for this job. Would have to locate people, relate to them, sell the idea of being on camera & ultimately interview them to get their perspective on a story that was a life changing event that they just experienced.
• Professional development is a key element to keeping in tune, being polished for the skills and
talents that are always used. Going to the National Press Photographers Association News
Video Workshop for a week was very important. Being a member of the National Press Photographers Association, subscribing & reading many of the Business Trade Magazines is a passion.

• Providing this was my first job as a news photojournalist, I was primed & ready to learn what it took to be the best I could be. Within the first two months of my employment, four of my stories went straight to network. That is unheard of for a rookie news photojournalist to accomplish such a feat like that.
• Covered events like the 2004 presidential election, The December 2004 Reno Blizzards. Interviewed Legendary Auto Racer Mario Andretti, Actor Ed Norton Jr., the Governor of New Mexico Bill Richardson, the Governor of Nevada Kenny Guinn, & Elizabeth Edwards.
