My career in journalism and media relations began as a multimedia journalist and anchor for KQDS-TV in Duluth, MN. From there, I accepted a position as a multimedia journalist and producer for the CBS affiliate KOLR-TV in Springfield, Missouri. In 2013, I was offered a promotion as a multimedia journalist for the NBC affiliate KSBY-TV in San Luis Obispo, California. My passion for writing and journalism is why I accepted my current position at UCSB. I want to continue my career in media and public relations at a forward-thinking company with passionate team members. My professional experience, personality and work ethic would be positive additions to the Oakley team. My current duties include producing, filming, and editing original video content and web articles for UCSB Athletics and local media. I work closely with our marketing team and alumni association to produce and edit commercials and print communication campaigns for the university. I created UCSB’s 30-minute television sports show called Gaucho Sports Primetime. The show airs weekly on local channels in Santa Barbara and on social media. This past year, I developed and designed a high-definition, multi-camera live streaming production for UCSB Athletics. My duties also include directing live telecasts for sporting events, organizing press conferences for local and national media, managing the department's social media accounts and directing the communications internship program for UCSB Athletics. I lead a group of 15 UCSB students.
