During my tenure as a Bookkeeper, I have had the unique opportunity to read hundreds of cover letters and resumes. As you probably know, the redundancy of content is endless. Most applicants follow the same format: Buzzwords about how motivated and professional they are, and maybe an “inspirational” quote or two. While this may be the norm, let me assure you that my work experiences separate and distinguish me from the average individual. I have built scaffold and rigging on the tallest skyscrapers in Chicago, dragged boats out of Lake Michigan by hand, worked hand-in-hand with municipal governments (if you’re familiar with Chicago politics, you understand how complex this becomes), and managed invoicing for the most impetuous sales team ever to sell ice to Eskimos. Couple that with growing up working for my family’s motorcycle dealership in every capacity from floor scrubber to sales manager, and I am certain I am ready for any challenge set before me.

Issue purchase orders based on contract documents, create billing templates. Train General Contractors to use billing templates and maintain records in accordance with organizational standards.
Evaluate General Contractor’s submitted draw request and paper work for restaurant remodeling. Evaluate documents and check for accuracy. 
Manage multiple restaurant remodel projects. Scope includes financial payouts and purchase orders with accuracy and attention to detail.

Finance Coordinator

Responsible for maintaining client records and monitoring project account balances from infancy to completion.
Invoice customers on a daily basis and track company income. Execute mechanic liens and collect past due balances from customers, Compile monthly financial and weekly profit and loss statements.
Communicate effectively with a diverse group of clients and employees to ensure proper project execution and regulatory compliance.
Support sales department and manage equipment shipping to other branches.
Relay employee concerns to management regarding Human Resources and safety issues.
Manage Accounts Payable by entering vendor information, invoices, reconciliation of invoices with expense accounts and tracking company expenses.
Uphold city of Chicago scaffolding requirements including permits, ADA Compliance, and OSHA regulations. Act as a company representative for city infractions, building violations and take corrective actions.
Ensure multiple crews complete projects at different locations throughout the city. Measure jobs, compile build lists, provide necessary tool preparation and explain performance expectations

Bookkeeper/ Office Manager

Responsibilities included working directly with multiple manufacturers ensuring warranty and safety campaigns were completed, performing electronic diagnostics using OEM programs. Attend industry events, monitor employees during events, set-up displays, demonstrate new vehicles, and instruct customers of proper operating procedures.
 Daily operations of the parts and service department, writing repair orders, receiving necessary parts for each service ticket, retail sale of parts and accessories, transportation of units, Inventory management
