Industrial Designer 1

I am a well organized and hard working individual pursuing a career in Industrial Design.  Over the past few years of my beginning professional career I have found that I collaborate well with others and am motivated to learn new design methods each day.  I believe that design has the power to change and enrich peoples’ lives through positive experiences with beautiful and functional products.  Though I have grown tremendously since the start of my career I am always exploring new ways to expand my skill set, visual library and professional network. My goal is to continually introduce innovative designs that challenge todays standards and create meaningful connections to the users who use them.

My objective is to design protective products that can be efficiently manufactured and offer creative solutions that satisfy consumer needs. I collaborate with my fellow Designers and Developers to create and maintain a cohesive look throughout the Lowepro product line through aesthetic design, fabric selection and hardware details.  Combined with around the clock attention to new trends in technology, fashion, color and manufacturing methods, I am constantly sketching, building mockups and testing prototypes.  I encompass my research by creating descriptive 2-D and 3-D models, presentations and specification documents of designs that accurately communicate the intent.  I focus on tracking products from initial inception all the way through to completed specs, sample reviews and final approval.

Provided 2D and 3D ideation and concept refinement for a range of products from top-of-the-line cycling helmets to plastic buckle hardware.  I focused on sketch ideation as well as Illustrator and Photoshop presentation drawings.  On two occasions, I took bicycle helmet designs from sketches all the way through to production-ready 3D clay models.
