Director of Operations and Admin

Kelly Mest is Head of Operations and Admin at NAKOA Fitness and Physical Therapy. Kelly is a highly motivated self-starter and problem solver with over ten years of experience in people operations, strategic planning, financial planning, project management, bookkeeping/accounting and marketing communications. Kelly Mest's passion lies in streamlining processes and developing people to create the most efficient (and fulfilling) business model possible.

Operational Management

-Day-to-day direction and leadership to area managers and on-site staff
-110% invested and actively in pursuit in the growth and development of my team
-Work directly with CEO to develop and execute annual budgets, goals and projections 
-Create and support programming and local events that foster and support the Carlsbad and San Diego community
-Creation, implementation and constant evaluation of SOPs and best practices
-Implement and support company programs and initiatives to foster the culture and active lifestyle brand as well as drive member retention and acquisition
-Ensure high levels of hospitality and service
-Form strategic partnerships with corporate liaisons, third party brokers, insurance companies and other wellness providers
-Provide high level strategic planning and direction for programming and initiatives

Bookkeeping & HR

-AP and AR processing, posting and reconciliation  
-Payroll
-Bank Reconciliation
-Management of operational contracts
-Organization and maintenance of office-filling systems
-Ordering, Receiving and Stocking office supplies, furniture and misc inventory
-Maintain and manage all insurance certificates for all vendors and subcontractors
-Generate monthly, quarterly & end of year reconciliation and statements
-Recruit, hire and all area and on-site managers and staff at large
-Maintain, review and enforce company handbook policies
-Ensure adherence to all state and federal employment laws and regulations

Marketing

-Marketing campaign management and creation
-Mailchimp and Active Campaign newsletter and drip marketing promotions and content creation
-Wordpress and Zesty web platform edits and content
-SEO strategy and execution of local and organic searches
-Execute site changes that increase quality traffic, maximize site performance and improve search result listings
-Management of marketing reports and communicate to management team
-Responsible for consistent content updates in order to stay relevant
