­- Worked with a small team of senior and principal engineers to develop and assess the new flagship product
­- Used Creo Parametric to design parts for manufacture including plastic parts (for injection molding) and metal parts (for casting or machining), as well as to update drawings and make design changes
­- Developed test methods and conducted numerous tests on system components for function or ergonomic assessment
­- Designed and built test fixtures for R&D purposes
­- Supported production pilot build at the manufacturing facility in China
­- Oversaw production assembly and interacted with the Chinese manufacturing team to facilitate on-site changes
­- Reviewed and confirmed paint and aesthetics of the pilot build

Mechanical Engineering Co-op

­- Worked as the right hand to the president to design and develop high-tech machines for precision machining, semi-conductor, optics and nano-tech companies
­- Designed parts and mechanisms for new products using SolidWorks 
­- Conducted Finite Element Analysis on SolidWorks part and assembly models to determine stress, strain and resonant frequencies, and compiled data to be presented to clients
­- Set up laboratory equipment and electronics, including laser interferometers and piezoelectric nano-positioners, for experiments and analyzed the experimental data

­- Designed and implemented R&D tests for a second-generation endoscope controller, which involved the camera and the light source
­- Designed fixtures for these tests using SolidWorks
­- Created technical reports and gave presentations of results to the project team
­- Aided supervising engineers in regulatory compliance documentation and testing
­- Participated in weekly meetings that involved brainstorming and problem-solving

­-Drafted, reviewed and edited drawings of electrical and HVAC systems of buildings under construction using AutoCAD
­- Conducted research on building materials and equipment for submittals to contractors
­- Completed Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) forms for buildings under construction
