I essentially created the position of buyer for our 21 DTC D|Store locations and new DTC online website. Three main points: 1. Six years ago, with the head of retail operations, I began to manage stock by teaching myself Excel so that I could calculate the correct assortment of SKUs for each store based upon sales data. Over the years, I have developed systems using Excel to reduce the stock in storage at each POS and increase turns and also effectively monitor and transfer slow-moving products within the network or send to our D|Garage outlets. I also began to work in conjunction with our web team on a new online sales platform and now have systems in place for website stock management that I oversee. 2. I developed a team atmosphere within the D|Stores by inviting managers to the corporate office annually and training them to be more responsible for their stock, utilizing the systems I had put in place. 3. I contacted ancillary brands such as OGIO Midland, Cardo, GoPro, and ABUS in order to complete the range of products offered to a motorcycle consumer at our D|Stores. I also performed market studies to confirm that the helmet is the most often requested piece of gear at motorcycle shops and so I contacted Arai, Schubert, and HJC and created commercial agreements with them to sub-distribute their products throughout our brick and mortar points of sale. I also worked in conjunction with Regenesi to create unique lifestyle products that use pieces of vintage leather race suits previously worn by our famous sponsored athletes. Over the last four years I also developed what began as a Made to Measure service into our Custom Works Department. I streamlined operations by creating guidelines and systems and created a unique structure for all the select stores involved in the project. I have increased the numbers and margins year to year. I expanded the service throughout Europe and worked with our USA subsidiary to create what is now known as the Annual North American Custom Works October Tour. I began in 2012 with the 3 D|Store locations we own and operate, and then grew it over the last 3 years to where we now will be traveling to 11 major cities and hosting Custom Works (‘From Measurements to Design’) events on 18 dates in 23 days. Over the last six years I have learned to be effective in the use of software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Illustrator.
