More than two decades of retail and inside sales experience with action sports products - ranging from hard goods - bicycles, motorcycles, skis, snowboards, helmets and more, as well as extensive experience with soft goods - sports clothing, parts & accessories and eye wear. Sports enthusiast in my personal life - moto, MTB, surf and snow...you name it, I've done it!

Built and managed 300+ motorcycle apparel/gear accounts across several states (Southern California, Texas, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin). Identified new business opportunities and established relationships with prospective customers. Assisted dealers with inventory analysis, included suggested buys and pre-books. Acted as a liason for warranty/RA issues, to resolve dealer issues and for clinicing dealers on technical aspects of product. Additionally, represented TLD brand at events such as Interbike, Sea Otter, and Mammoth Mountian events.

Territory Inside Sales Manager

Initally hired as corporate customer service rep, but strong retail experience and creativity
resulted in a position as a retail merchandiser. Assisted in creating merchandising plan
and setting up first brick and mortor store in Corona, CA.

Retail Merchandiser/Customer Service

Began as sales associate and cashier, seeking management opportunities as new stores opened in the area. Responsibilities include providing customers with extensive knowledge of bicycles, including servicing and repairing product, as well as sports clothing and accessories. As Assistant Manager of Operations, duties include training other team members to provide outstanding customer service and developing product knowledge and familiarity to promote maximum sales. Additional responsibilities included opening and closing duties, some bookkeeping and employee relations.

Assistant Store Manager of Operations

Responsibilities included servicing existing Southern California accounts spanning from San Diego to Santa Barbara, as well as establishing new accounts in the area. Responsible for opening approximately 15 new accounts in a period of one month and gave exceptional service to all existing accounts on a biweekly basis. Travel included occasional visits to Marin headquarters in Novato, California as well as trade shows such as Interbike in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Reasons for leaving: First sales representative employed directly by Marin; after trial period, it was determined that the costs were much higher than employing a sales representative from an outside agency.

Southern California Sales Representative

Quickly promoted from bicycle technician to Department Head as a result of strong grasps of product knowledge and procedures, highly effective communication with both employees and customers, and ability to translate technical information into everyday language to which the customer can relate. Participated in the opening of three new stores and lead the merchandising team for bicycles and winter sports, both hard goods and clothing.
