Freelance Design Strategist

Andrew Young is firmly planting his feet in the world of design thinking and experiential design. He spends his day leveraging and exposing design thinking to all business units, along with watching both internal and external users for process or product insights.   

Andrew is focused on solving challenges through both a quantitative and qualitative lens. He passionate about the user experience and the whys of the hows. He has deep experiences bridging design & business, solving challenges with patterns, user insights and researching to become a subject matter expert.  

Andrew leads teams and works hands-on.

At Tourbuzz I am driven to bring design thinking to a technically minded team. I’ve been focused on innovating internal processes along with exposing user insights; through qualitative ethnographies and quantitative data research, to all business units. After enhancing our internal processes and understanding our users; I’ve focused on product strategy and go to market plans for our new products.

As a core member of the o2gearshop.com eCommerce redevelopment team, I oversaw all design operations & initiatives, managing & hiring third party design & marketing agencies, email marketing planning, email metric reporting & analytics, migration to new CRM & email marketing platforms.

Senior Analyst Digital Design Strategy

As a designer at ExpressJet Airlines I was responsible for a successful brand redesign and rollout. As a Design Coordinator I was responsible for introducing design thinking, cross team collaboration, managing internal relationship and managing the trafficking of projects.

As a designer at Piggy Toes Press I concepted and developed packaging, book formats and art for childrens books & toys. In addition, I lead research, development and launch of online presence, website, eCommerce and social media outlets for brand focused on children but targeting adult consumers.
